How astrologers time love
Classical astrology looks at a few slow and fast cycles to time relationships. This calculator uses the ones that need only a birth date, counted as solar houses from your Sun sign:
- Jupiter in your 7th house. Jupiter, the planet of growth and luck, spends about a year in each sign. When it moves through the seventh sign from your Sun, the house of partnership, astrologers traditionally expect significant meetings and commitments. It happens about once every twelve years, so it is the headline window when it comes.
- Jupiter in your 5th house. The house of romance, dating and pleasure: flirtation and new love are easier.
- Jupiter in your own sign. A year when you are at your most magnetic.
- Venus spotlight weeks. Venus passes through your seventh and fifth houses every year or so for a few weeks at a time: short windows when chemistry comes easily.
- Venus retrograde. Every eighteen months or so, Venus appears to move backward for about six weeks. Exes resurface and old feelings get reviewed; astrologers suggest it is better for reflection than for new beginnings.
- Your personal year. In numerology, years 2 and 6 are the partnership and commitment years.
