What will my soulmate look like? Astrology’s answer

Astrology describes a soulmate’s appearance through three things: the sign on your descendant, your Venus and Mars, and the ruler of your seventh house. Here is how to read them.

Start with your descendant

Your descendant is the sign on the cusp of your seventh house, always opposite your rising sign. Astrologers read it the way they read a rising sign for appearance, but for your partner. If you know your rising sign, your descendant is the sign six places away (Aries rising means a Libra descendant, Leo rising an Aquarius descendant, and so on).

Descendant (7th house) signThe partner’s typical look
AriesAthletic, bold features, a direct gaze, energy you can feel across a room
TaurusSensual and calm: a strong neck, full lips, warm eyes, a lovely voice
GeminiYouthful and expressive: bright eyes, a quick smile, a slim, lively build
CancerSoft and nurturing: a round face, kind eyes, a gentle smile
LeoStriking hair, a radiant smile, confident posture, warm coloring
VirgoNeat and natural: clear skin, thoughtful eyes, understated elegance
LibraBalanced, symmetrical features, a lovely smile, elegant style
ScorpioIntense, magnetic eyes, strong brows, a watchful, private presence
SagittariusTall or athletic, an open laughing face, casual, outdoorsy style
CapricornStrong bone structure, a serious face that softens, classic style
AquariusOriginal and striking: unusual style, light or unusual eyes
PiscesDreamy, soft eyes, a gentle face, an artistic or musical air

Then add Venus and Mars

Venus describes what you find beautiful, so it fine-tunes the picture: someone with Venus in Leo falls for great hair and a confident smile; Venus in Virgo for neatness and kind eyes. Mars describes what excites you. Calculate your Venus sign free with the soulmate by birthdate calculator; it shows the look you fall for.

The ruler of the seventh house

The planet ruling your descendant sign adds detail: Venus as the ruler suggests beauty and charm; Saturn suggests an older or more serious partner; Jupiter a generous, larger-than-life one; Mercury a youthful, talkative one.

Without a birth time

Your descendant needs an exact birth time. Without one, use Venus and your Sun sign’s opposite as a guide: the zodiac soulmates pages describe each sign’s soulmate look from its opposite sign.

From description to a drawing

This is exactly the information Venusly uses to draw its portraits: your descendant and seventh house when you know your birth time, your Venus and Moon always. The face it draws is a creative interpretation of your chart, for entertainment.
